Application
Gel-X® application step by step
Prepare the natural nail
Push back the cuticle, remove excess cuticle, remove invisible cuticle, perform a manicure and gently mattify the natural nail.
Choose the correct tip size
The tip should fully cover the natural nail without putting pressure on the side walls.
Prepare nails and tips
First apply pH Bonder and then Non Acid Gel Primer to the natural nail. Let both air dry. Apply enough Gel-X - Tip Prep liquid to the inside of the Gel-X® tip and massage it into the material. The surface becomes softer so the tip and gel can bond optimally.
Apply Extend Gel
Apply a thin layer of Extend Gel to the natural nail and place a suitable amount inside the tip.
Apply the tip and cure
Place the tip at a 45 degree angle, lower it slowly and avoid air bubbles. Use the Omni Light Lamp to flash cure the nail so nothing slips. Repeat this on all fingers and then place the hand in a standard UV/LED lamp for full curing.
Apply the finish
After curing, the surface of the Gel-X tip can be softened again with Gel-X - Tip Prep or gently mattified with a buffer. Important: Never remove filing dust with cleaner during this step, as the tips may break during everyday wear. Finally, finish the nails with color, cover, top coat or nail art.
PRO TIP: After the tips are fully cured, carefully file the transition area around the cuticle flatter with a fine drill bit, as shown in the tutorial video. This creates a beautiful natural look and prevents raised edges as the nails grow out.
