The Enigmatic Jelly Gel Couleur collection shows just how versatile red can be. These translucent jelly shades give classic red tones a juicy, glass-like depth and can be built up depending on the number of coats applied.
The five shades range from vivid classic red to deep wine tones. Thanks to the translucent formula, light can pass through the color, creating a glossy, jewel-like finish.
One coat creates a sheer wash of color, two coats add medium depth, and three coats intensify the shade while preserving the signature jelly effect. The colors can be worn on their own or layered over cat eye, foil, glitter and other effects.

Application
On Gel-X Tips
- Etch the surface of the applied Gel-X Tip with Gel-X Prep.
- Apply one thin, even coat of Enigmatic Gel Couleur and cure for 30 seconds.
- Depending on the desired depth, apply a second or third thin coat and cure each layer for another 30 seconds.
- Finish with Builder Top Gelcoat or Non-Wipe Top Gelcoat and cure for 30–60 seconds, depending on the top coat used.
On Natural Nails
- Apply pH Bonder and allow the nails to air-dry completely. Apply Acid-Free Gel Primer if desired.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Base Gelcoat or Base Gelcoat X and cure for 30 seconds.
- Apply one thin, even coat of Enigmatic Gel Couleur and cure for 30 seconds.
- Depending on the desired depth, apply a second or third thin coat and cure each layer again for 30 seconds.
- Finish with Builder Top Gelcoat or Non-Wipe Top Gelcoat and cure for 30–60 seconds, depending on the top coat used.
Removal
Carefully e-file off the topcoat and gel color. Then soak the nails in 100% pure acetone for 10–20 minutes until the gel becomes soft and jelly-like.
Gently lift the softened product with a remover tool or cuticle pusher. Do not force removal. Lightly buff away any remaining residue and finish with cuticle oil.
Recommendations
- Build the glass effect: Cure a layer of Builder Top Gelcoat between two jelly coats to create additional depth. Finish with your preferred top gelcoat.
- Tint existing effects: Apply the jelly shade over Astral or Prismatic cat eye, pearlescent or flash glitter designs to create a cohesive jewel-toned wash.
- Mix the finishes: Apply an Enigmatic Jelly Shade over an Enigmatic Flash Glitter shade to tint the sparkle. Alternatively, apply Flash Glitter over Jelly for a stronger multidimensional contrast.
- Create a rainbow effect: Apply Heavenly Top Gelcoat over the cured jelly shade to create a smooth holographic color shift. Finish with Builder Top Gelcoat for added dimension.
